House in Willcox (Pg 15)

Now it is time for the rebar reinforcement to be placed in the footer and beam trenches. All are tied together so when the concrete is poured it is all tied together with the steel for added strength. This was a time consuming task, but should be worth it if it helps keep the foundation and floor from cracking. Ha!

The rebar has been placed in the footer and beam trenches.

This is one of the six places where the beam and footer rebar is joined and tied.

The corners of the footer have the rebar joined together with a minimum of a 2' overlap.

This shows the beam rebar where it joins in the middle of the house pad.
